Family Group Groove at the Hunterdon County YMCA

(July 2, 2009) The Hunterdon County YMCA invites the community to try Group Groove, a fun program that gets everyone moving.  The Hunterdon County YMCA will host Family Group Groove events, every Friday from July 10 through August 28 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.  Family Group Groove will be held in the gymnasium of the Deer Path Branch in Flemington.

Everyone is welcome to attend Family Group Groove and YMCA membership is not required. Adults and youth ages 8 years and up may participate. Children ages 8-11 must be accompanied by an adult. Childwatch/Babysitting is available for children under 8.

In Group  Groove, participants stomp, flick, wiggle, jiggle, hip, hop, snap, shimmy, shake, slide, glide, smile and laugh their way through a 60 minute fitness dance program.  They experience a fusion of club, urban and Latin dance styles with motivating chart topping hits and retro classic tunes.

Fitness dance programs have been taking the country by storm because of the “fun” factor associated with them. Group Groove is an excellent way to get active.

Family Group Groove at the Hunterdon County YMCA offers participants the opportunity to try out the program with family and friends.

“We are excited to offer Family Group Groove.  Groove is a great way to get moving for everyone. We invite everyone to come to the Hunterdon County YMCA to experience Groove and Get a Move On!”  said Fitness Coordinator, Karen Kloss.

The Deer Path Branch is located at 144 West Woodschurch Road, Flemington, NJ 08822.  For more information call 908-782-1030 or visit www.hcymca.org
