Hunterdon County YMCA seeks volunteers for Barclays PGA Golf Tournament

(July 16, 2009) The Hunterdon County YMCA is looking for volunteers to assist at the Barclays PGA Golf Tournament, which will be held Tuesday, Aug. 25, to Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Liberty National Golf Course adjacent to Liberty State Park in Jersey City.

The YMCA is an event partner in the tournament, an arrangement that will help raise funds for the YMCA’s Strong Kids Annual Support Campaign, a financial assistance program that enables children and families to enjoy YMCA membership and access to YMCA programs and services regardless of their ability to pay.

Volunteers are needed to work in more than 20 different committees. A $50 fee provides volunteers with badges valid for admission the entire tournament week as well as one for a guest, plus a golf shirt with a logo, a hat, and meals on the days the participants volunteer.
